Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
Introduction
The MBA programme is structured to prepare students for managerial careers and positions of influence in both business and society. The programme is designed to be offered in the evening, day, weekend and distance learning modes. It is a two-year programme that consists of three taught semesters and one semester of research where the deliverable is a research dissertation which the participant will have been working on with their research supervisors from the start of year two of the programme. It is structured to emphasize applying knowledge through case study analysis, through the examination of current issues and trends in a variety of business environments, and through up-close interaction with industry. The programme is based on theoretical underpinning transformed into practical knowledge and skills.
Admission Requirements
- An Honours degree from a University or institution recognized by the National Council for Higher Education.
- Candidates who hold a professional chartered qualifications like the chartered institute of purchasing and supply (CIPS), ACCA, CPA will equally be admitted for the MBA.
- MBA students will be required to do pre-entry examinations (GMAT) and before admission, the applicants must have scored a mark which in the opinion of the School board is adequate to enroll such a student.
- NB: The minimum duration for the Bachelor’s degree should be three years.
