Bachelor of Business Statistics (BBS)
Introduction
The Bachelor of Business Statistics is a degree programme emphasizing statistics both as a science and as a service discipline, with powerful applications in areas such as probability, mathematical statistics, data analysis, statistical computing, and statistical modeling. Admission Requirements
Admission into the first year is through any of the following avenues:
- Direct Entry: Applicants must have at least two principal passes in UACE or its equivalent, one of which must be in Mathematics or Economics.
- Diploma Holders Scheme: Holders of at least a Second-Class Diploma from a recognized institution in a relevant field such as Statistics, Business, or Economics.
- Degree Holders Scheme: Applicants who already possess a degree in a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Professional Qualifications: Candidates with relevant professional qualifications equivalent to a Diploma level in statistics, accounting, or related fields.
- Mature Age Scheme: Candidates who have passed both the written and oral Mature Age Entry Examinations conducted by Makerere University.
