Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BAE)
Introduction
The Department of Economics, currently running the Bachelor of Arts in Economics Programme (BAEP) combines with Procurement & Logistics Management and Management Science Departments to form the Faculty of Economics, Energy and Management Science (FEEMS) tenable at Makerere University Business School (MUBS).In line with institutional Mission; “To enable the future of clients through creation and provision of knowledge”, there is ultimate need to continuously upgrade the quality of our graduates with requisite economic tools and skills to meet the ever changing needs of the business environment.
Admission Requirements
Admission into the first year is through any of the following avenues:
- Direct Entry: At least two principal passes at UACE, one in Economics or Mathematics.
- Diploma Holders Scheme: Second-class Diploma in Business, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Degree Holders Scheme: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Professional Qualifications: Equivalent to a Diploma level in a relevant field.
- Mature Age Scheme: Passed Makerere University Mature Age Entry Examinations.
