Introduction
The Bachelor of Transport and Logistics Management (BTLM) was introduced in 2007 after consultations with industry stakeholders and employers who recognized the growing significance of transport and logistics in enhancing organizational efficiency and competitiveness. The program equips learners with skills in transport systems, logistics planning, procurement, and supply chain management—key areas that support both national and international trade. Over the years, the program has registered rapid growth, reflecting the increasing demand for qualified logistics and transport professionals capable of managing complex global supply chains and improving service delivery across sectors.
Admission Requirements
- Admission into the Bachelor of Science in Finance is through any of the following schemes:
- Direct Entry: Two principal passes at the same sitting of UACE, one of which should be in subjects such as Economics, Geography, Mathematics, or Entrepreneurship.
- Diploma Holders Scheme: A Second-Class Diploma in Transport Management, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Degree Holders Scheme: Applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized institution.
- Mature Age Entry Scheme: Candidates who have passed the Makerere University Mature Age Entry Examinations.
- Higher Education Certificate: Holders of a Higher Education Certificate (HEC) in a related field with at least a Credit pass from a recognized institution.
