Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
Introduction
Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) is one the pioneer programs offered at Makerere University Business School since the inception of the Business school. The program was started in1993 in order to provide business and management education in the country through offering students with practical business and management training that can prepare them to successfully work with large and small organizations both locally and globally. Despite the emergency of standalone programs that have been developed from a BBA like Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Bachelor of Science in Finance, Bachelor of Science in Marketing, the program still admits and graduates the highest number of students in all its specializations.
Admission Requirements
- Admission into the first year is through any of the following avenues:
- Direct Entry: Applicants with the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) or its equivalent, with at least two principal passes in relevant subjects.
- Diploma Holders Scheme: Candidates holding a relevant diploma from a recognized institution, awarded by MUBS or another accredited university.
- Degree Holders Scheme: Applicants who already possess a recognized bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- Professional Qualifications: Individuals with recognized professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent may be considered.
- Mature Age Entry Scheme: Applicants aged 25 years and above who have passed the Mature Age Entry Examinations of Makerere University.
