Diploma in Entrepreneurship & Small Business Management(DESBM)
Introduction
The Diploma in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management extensively covers business functions of planning, organizing, directing and controlling. It provides a foundation of Entrepreneurship knowledge including management, business law, office technologies and accounting which are all needed to successfully meet challenges and opportunities encountered in today’s dynamic business environment.
Admission Requirements
Admission into the first year is strictly through Direct Entry, and applicants must meet the following:

- A candidate must have:

Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE): At least 5 passes

Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE): At least 1 principal pass

- Certificate Holders Scheme
- A candidate must have:

A relevant certificate from a recognized institution

At least one year of working experience (where applicable)

- Higher Education Certificate (HEC)
- A candidate must have successfully completed a Higher Education Certificate accredited by NCHE in any business-related discipline.
- Degree Holder Scheme
- A candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
