Introduction

The Diploma in Transport and Logistics Management is a course for those who are new to the logistics and transport industry and want to specialize in areas of Transport operations, Transport planning, warehousing and inventory control or Logistics Management. The programme has been designed to satisfy the specifications of transport and logistics management with regard to the generic knowledge and requirements providing players in office management services at the lower levels. The programme is intended to produce graduates who are technically and practically competent in building careers in the transport and logistics management sector.

Admission Requirements

Admission into the first year is strictly through Direct Entry, and applicants must meet the following:

  • Direct Entry
  • A candidate must have:
    • UCE: At least 5 passes

    • UACE: At least 1 principal pass in any subject

  • Certificate Holders Scheme
  • A candidate must have:
    • A relevant certificate from a recognized institution

    • At least one year of working experience (where applicable)

  • Mature Age Entry Scheme
  • A candidate must have:
    • Passed the Mature Age Entry Examinations conducted by Makerere University or any NCHE-recognized body.
