Main Campus: Day Three of the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Library Week featured presentations and a showcase of digital solutions, academic resources and innovative library initiatives under this year’s theme, “Inspiring a Culture of Reading and Lifelong Learning.”The sessions included a presentation on Buku, an online platform for accessing published resources. Presentations explored the role of digital solutions in improving access to information, supporting digital scholarship and strengthening research. They emphasised the need to help library users identify relevant resources, engage with scholarly information and effectively use available learning tools.The showcase also highlighted library initiatives aimed at improving the learning experience. As more academic information becomes available through digital platforms, libraries remain essential in providing access to reliable sources and equipping users with the skills to navigate, evaluate and apply information.The Principal’s opening remarks, delivered by Prof. Gedion Nkulunziza, emphasised that cultivating a reading culture promotes critical thinking, creativity and informed decision-making.
