Welcome Message from the Deputy Principal

It is my pleasure to warmly welcome you to the official website of Makerere University Business School (MUBS). Thank you for taking the time to learn more about who we are, what we do, and how we continue to shape the future of business education, research, and innovation in Uganda and beyond.

At MUBS, we pride ourselves on being a dynamic center of excellence that empowers learners, shapes leaders, and provides solutions to contemporary socio-economic challenges. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality teaching, foster a culture of research and entrepreneurship, and build strategic partnerships that drive sustainable development.

As the leading business school in Uganda and a key player in the East African higher education landscape, MUBS is uniquely positioned to influence public policy, stimulate enterprise growth, and nurture innovation-driven economies across the continent.

As Deputy Principal, I am particularly passionate about creating an enabling academic environment where students, staff, and stakeholders can thrive. We are committed to nurturing talent and equipping our graduates with relevant knowledge, practical skills, digital competencies, and professional values that respond to the demands of a rapidly changing world.

We are equally proud of the reforms and strides we are making ranging from the rollout of competency-based curricula, digital transformation, and enhanced governance, to aligning our work with national and global development aspirations.

Our work is grounded in Uganda’s Vision 2040, the National Development Plan, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the African Union’s Agenda 2063, all of which underscore the centrality of education, innovation, and inclusive development in building resilient societies.

We also believe that higher education must be inclusive and responsive. We are intentional about empowering women, supporting differently-abled students, promoting environmental sustainability, and advancing social justice through our programs and partnerships.

This website has been designed to give you easy access to information about our academic programs, research initiatives, administrative services, student support systems, and institutional activities. Whether you are a prospective student, continuing learner, alumnus, partner institution, or member of the general public, we hope you will find this platform informative, engaging, and accessible.

I warmly invite you to explore our pages, connect with us, and be part of the MUBS community as we advance business education, entrepreneurship, and innovation for national, regional and global transformation.
