Makerere University Business School has welcomed delegates to the 30th Annual International Management Conference (AIMC 2026), taking place from 22 to 25 September 2026 at the Imperial Golf View Hotel in Entebbe, Uganda.

It is being held under the theme “The Knowledge Revolution: Driving Innovation and Sustainable Development in Africa,” the conference brings together researchers, academics, business professionals, policymakers, students and other stakeholders to exchange ideas on academic and economic development.

Welcoming delegates on Day One, MUBS Principal Prof. Moses Muhwezi described AIMC 2026 as a platform for scholars, policymakers, business leaders, development partners, entrepreneurs and practitioners to explore solutions to Africa’s social, economic, environmental and governance challenges. Prof. Muhwezi wished participants productive discussions, opportunities to build professional connections, collaboration across disciplines and lasting partnerships. He expressed confidence that the conference would contribute to stronger institutions, business innovation, informed policymaking and Africa’s progress towards a knowledge-driven economy.

Hon. Henry Musasizi, Minister of Finance, Planning and Economic Development key note speaker, highlighted the role of knowledge, innovation and digital transformation in creating jobs, strengthening institutions and building sustainable economies across Africa.
