MUBS Explores International Collaboration Opportunities with Ugandan Community in Australia

Yesterday June 22 2026, Principal hosted a delegation from the Ugandan Community in Canberra, Australia, led by Ms. Tiisa Mugwanya, Head of Tourism and Culture, to discuss potential areas of collaboration aimed at strengthening tourism development, academic research, student exchange programmes, and the development of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two institutions.

According to the Principal, Prof. Muhwezi, the engagement aligns with MUBS’ strategic objective of expanding its global partnerships and increasing international exposure for its academic community. Through such collaborations, students and staff will gain access to international experiences, research opportunities, and diverse perspectives that are essential in today’s interconnected world.

The partnership is also expected to contribute to the promotion of Uganda as a tourism destination by leveraging international networks and fostering stronger ties with the Ugandan diaspora community in Australia. MUBS continues to pursue strategic collaborations that support academic excellence, innovation, and global competitiveness while creating meaningful opportunities for students, researchers, and professionals.
