Nakawa-The MUBS Security Section held a workshop on 28 September 2026 under the theme “Promoting a Safe and Secure Environment.” The training brought attention to the skills, vigilance and leadership needed to safeguard the University community.

In his remarks, the Principal Mubs, Prof. Moses Muhwezi, emphasized the importance of continuous training in responding to changing security challenges. He urged security personnel to remain vigilant and exercise responsible leadership in their daily work. Prof. Muhwezi noted that security extends beyond the physical protection of people and property. It also includes the protection of ICT systems and information, as well as responsible conduct on social media. His remarks underscored the need for a broad approach to keeping MUBS safe and secure.

The Chief Human Resource, Mrs. Christine Nanyombi Mubiru, highlighted continuous capacity building as essential to strengthening the Security Section. She commended Security Supervisors and Team Leaders for their critical role in guiding their teams and maintaining a safe and secure environment at MUBS.

The workshop highlighted the shared duty of staff and security to be alert, to protect institutional information and to promote a safe environment for teaching, learning and work.
