Bachelor of Entrepreneurship

In this proposed programme, we are naming it “Bachelor of Entrepreneurship” from the current name of “Bachelor of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management”. As a career path, Entrepreneurship is one of the emerging areas of advanced academic specialization. This has been manifested with global entrepreneurship events such as the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor, Global Annual Entrepreneurship Conference and high-ranking journals of entrepreneurship. International organizations such as the United Nations Capital Development fund have lately joined the entrepreneurship development agenda. The early risers in entrepreneurship education are already offering entrepreneurship education at Masters and PhD levels. Countries like China, Japan, South Africa, India, America, Nigeria and many others started embracing specialized entrepreneurship training and the results can speak for themselves.

Career Path

The job opportunities open to graduates of the programme include;

  1. Business Development Managers and consultants.
  2. General Managers (Small/Medium firms)
  3. Loan Managers (Micro Finance Institutions)
  4.  Entrepreneurs (self-employment)

With some experience, the career objectives of these graduates in the long term would be;

  1. Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Managing Director (MD)
  2. Managing Directors of both public and private organizations
  3. Owner Managers
  4. Business Development consultants

Course Units

Fees Structure & Program Requirements

Admission into the first year is through any of the four avenues:

  • Direct entry;
  • Diploma Holders Scheme;
  • Professional Qualifications and
  • Mature Age Scheme.
  • Degree Holders’ Scheme

 

Other Fees: Retake fee is UGX 20,000 Per paper.

All Master programmes are to pay Research fee of UGX,100,000/=

All Doctorate programmes are to pay Research fee of US$,100.

Please note: That all payments are received through Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) using a Payment Reference Number (PRN)
Fees Payment Procedure:
Log on to https://myportal.mubs.ac.ug to generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN) from the AIMS and Proceed to transact in any Bank using the PRN
Modes of Fees Payments;
1. Direct Cash deposit to any Bank and transact with the PRN
2. Cheque /Bank Draft in the name of Uganda Revenue Authority and bank it using a MUBS generated PRN.
3. By EFT on Bank of Uganda Account Number: 003410158000002 – A/c Name: Uganda Revenue Authority (This Account should strictly be used for EFT Transactions – clearly indicating the Payment Reference Number (PRN) in the description.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
1. All fees are payable at the beginning of the academic year.
2. If paid in installment, functional fees must be paid at 100% and Tuition fees at 60%.
3. All fees must have been paid by the 6th (sixth) week of the semester.
To enable us plan the semester and provide students with the necessary facilities, it is important that fees is paid in time in accordance with the given options and terms above.
Note: There will be a charge of 57,500/= for late registration.
