Message from the Dean

Welcome to the Faculty of Business Administration at Makerere University Business School (MUBS).

The Faculty of Business Administration is one of the largest and most vibrant faculties at MUBS, proudly hosting the highest number of students in the institution. This reflects the relevance, diversity, and quality of our academic programmes, as well as the confidence placed in us by students, employers, and other stakeholders. The Faculty is comprised of two departments; Department of Business Administration and Department of Business Communication.

Through these departments, the Faculty offers a range of programmes that include the Master of Business Administration, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, and Diploma in Business Administration. Our programmes provide various specialization and option areas, including Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Data Analytics, Project Management, Strategy and communication and public sector management to meet the evolving needs of the business world.

Our academic approach emphasizes a strong balance between theory and practice, equipping students with critical thinking, leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Graduates of the Faculty are prepared to excel in corporate organizations, public institutions, entrepreneurial ventures, and non-governmental organizations in both local and global contexts.

The Faculty is supported by a committed team of highly qualified academic and administrative staff who are dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, innovation, and community engagement. We also maintain strong partnerships with industry and professional bodies to ensure that our curricula remain relevant, practical, and responsive to emerging business trends.

On behalf of the Faculty of Business Administration, I warmly invite prospective students, partners, and stakeholders to engage with us as we continue to develop competent, ethical, and innovative business professionals who contribute meaningfully to socio-economic development.
