MUBS BBA Year Three Students Take HIV/AIDS Awareness to Nakawa Market

Nakawa- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Year Three students of MUBS are promoting HIV/AIDS awareness at Nakawa Market under the message “Know Your Status, Live Positively.” The campaign seeks to engage market vendors, customers and the surrounding community in conversations about HIV prevention, testing, treatment and support. The initiative encourages voluntary HIV testing and counselling, informed health decisions, safer sexual practices and seeking guidance from qualified health workers. It also highlights the importance of adhering to prescribed HIV treatment and supporting people living with HIV.

A central message of the campaign is the need to address stigma and discrimination. Through respectful engagement, the students aim to challenge misconceptions and encourage a community where people can seek information and health services without fear of judgement. The campaign demonstrates the students’ commitment to social responsibility by extending health awareness beyond the classroom and into the community.
